We threw a party, and we’re still smiling about it. On Friday, July 24th, we opened our doors at 400 Elmwood Blvd in York, PA, to celebrate something big: 30 years in business, and a brand-new name to go with it. If you’ve worked with us before, you probably knew us as Marketing Works. That name carried us for three decades—and now it’s time to introduce you to who we’ve become: Revel Collective.
This wasn’t just a party for the sake of a party. It was our way of honoring everything that got us here, and giving our community a first look at where we’re headed next.
Where it All Started
Back in 1996, our founder Tina Rudisill started what would become Marketing Works and spent the next 30 years building it into a name people in the York marketing agency scene trusted—known for sharp strategy, creative work that actually worked, and relationships that lasted well beyond a single campaign. At the ribbon-cutting, Tina shared that building this business has been one of the most rewarding things she’s ever done, and that handing it off felt less like an ending and more like everything she built simply continuing—just with new energy behind it.
And who’s carrying that torch? Her daughter, Ashley Cherry, who’s spent years in the trenches of this business and is now stepping in as CEO. Ashley put it simply: Revel Collective is built on everything her mom created—integrity, passion, transparency, real relationships—but now with room to grow into new technology and a bolder, more modern way of doing things. It’s also worth saying out loud: with Ashley now at the helm, we’re proud to carry the torch as a women owned marketing agency, and that’s not lost on any of us.
The Community Showed Up
The turnout reflected just how connected our agency has become to the York community. York County President Commissioner Julie Wheeler attended and spoke at the event, along with representative (I forgot her name)—a reminder of the role Marketing Works, and now Revel Collective, has played in this community for the past three decades.
We also wanted the celebration itself to feel like us, so we kept it interactive: a build-your-own bouquet bar, a T-shirt making station, and food and drinks for everyone who came through. It was a fitting way to mark the occasion, since experiential marketing—creating hands-on, memorable moments like these—one of the services we specialize in for our own clients.
So, what's next?
https://revelco.com/contact/New name, same mission. We’re still operating as a marketing team for growth-focused businesses across Central Pennsylvania and beyond, offering everything from consulting and goal-aligned campaigns to brand development, and yes more experiential marketing.
Thirty years ago, this started as a small, passion-driven venture. Today, we operate as a marketing partner for businesses across PA, New Jersey, and beyond, and this ribbon-cutting was our way of saying thank you for that, and here’s to what’s next.
