Regional Medical Imaging (RMI) Launches Physician Relationship Program
Challenge: The client saw a 30% decrease in business when a local health system, their largest competitor, mandated that their owned physician practices keep imaging referrals within their network. Our client’s challenge was to elevate their brand, adopt a marketing-oriented approach business, and identify service lines that would allow them to rebuild and strengthen their referral base to positively impact their future.
$2.3M+ increase in revenue
Solution: We implemented a physician relations program, hired a physician liaison, developed a radiology-specific CRM, and co-managed her efforts. We identified three areas of focus―women’s imaging, PET/CT and interventional radiology―and consistently marketed these programs to appropriate audiences over a 3-year period. At the end of 3 years, the client saw $2,313,174 in additional revenue, not counting downstream revenue from their mammography program. These efforts, combined with the physician relations program helped to reverse their diminishing referrals and generate increased awareness for their brand in the market.
